Thanks to Frank Burlison, we know that former Boise State Coach Greg Graham is among the interviewees for the head coach opening at UC Davis.
The others:
* Jim Les (let go at Bradley a short while ago, overall losing record)
* Jay John (a Cal assistant and former Oregon State head coach)
* Donny Daniels (current Gonzaga assistant, former UCLA assistant, failed at Fullerton)
* Bob Cantu (current USC assistant)
PTW would say Graham has a very good chance at landing the position. Les is from the Midwest and hadn't been successful of late. His son, Tyler, is a sophomore-to-be basketballer at Davis.
John was let go after not succeeding in Corvallis and the same for Daniels and Fullerton.
Cantu is the unknown since he hasn't been a head coach.
Graham posted a 15-17 record in his last season, had a 142-112 overall record and took a team to the Big Dance in 2008.

I am not saying he was super successful, but Jim Les did not have an overall losing record He was 154-140 with a sweet 16 appearance. But yes he was mostly recruiting the midwest. He did get a few recruits out of Yuba College in California and lived in California when he was a stockbroker and assistant in the WNBA.
This list is not acceptable. There is no proven winner or system. Think outside the box; I hear the Cal Poly Pomona head basketball coach may be available. He won the NCAA championship last year, and has a defensive scheme that all D1 coaches have inquired.
Being from the Peoria Illinois area and watching bradley for the last few years. I think jim les would be a great fit for UC Davis. I know his record here of late wasn't very good but his teams played with passion, heart, and he also had the injury bug hit hard the last couple years. Overall I think that he would bring UC Davis to the Big Dance come next March, and I would become a fan of Aggie basketball.
Jim Les would be a very good fit for coach at Cal.-Davis. He had good recruits from Minn., Kansas, MO.,
New York,Cal.,Illinois,Ind.,Fla.,LA.,
Texas, Iowa, KY, and Georgia. Not just the Mid-West. He also took
Bradley to the Sweet 16 for the first
time in 50 years beating Kansas and
Pittsburgh to get there. I know, I am
a Bradley fan.
