It's lean so far this morning

Matt James plows through some not so pleasant recent (pre-Steve Cleveland) Fresno State basketball history vis-a-vis a tabla rasa-like Rodney Terry. Who knows what the Terry era will bring but PTW feels the need to state that Terry and Ray Lopes have but coaching basketball in common.

Gary Wilkinson's "unduly rough play" -- gotta love the influence of the King's English, or is it the Queen? -- produced a fine but no off the court time as his New Zealand squad continues to battle for the championship.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
