Coach Mike White & LT land another

Eric Bossi tweeted this tonight:

"Very nice pickup for Louisiana Tech tonight, three-star guard Alex Hamilton is off the board"

Here's Jonathan Ford with the news.

Hamilton is a 6-foot-4 2012 point guard out of the Florida HS ranks. He is the son of a coach but his father died late last year.

Here's a video about the young man and his father. In the video, he curiously shoots a free throw lefthanded but dunks righthanded.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
