Sunday's WAC basketball report

Idaho Athletics reports on the Vandal an intra-squad scrimmage. PTW has no idea of Kyle Barone's nationality but here's hoping it's Italian or he adopts such a leaning because that leads to a B-a-R-O-n-e (heavy emphasis on the middle syllable) rolling off the tongue. The Idaho announcer should have fun with that one.

Backcourt newcomer James Kinney led SJSU in its intra-squad scrimmage.

The court firm of Jardine, Medline and Pane paced Utah State in its intra-squad scrimmage.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
