Let's have a contest

We know this more than likely won't get off the ground but we'll proceed regardless.

Most of you are probably too young to remember Dick Fosbury, an Olympic high jumper with a then-unique style of jumping. His time was in the late 60s and early 70s. Fosbury's attempts were given the title of "Fosbury Flops' because he revolutionized high jumping by going over the bar backwards.

With that in mind and also with Tyler Hansbrough's flopping around the other night against Nevada -- his second flop came without contact but he made it look like he had been tasered -- we want nominations throughout the WAC conference play for the best flops of the season.

We wait with bated breath, anxious to offer a virtual trophy to the PTW Flopper of the Year come March and no, an entire team cannot be nominated despite any such collective failing to live up to its pre-season promise.

So do you mean "flop" as in "didn't live up to the hype" or "flop" as in Hansbrough's "don't tase me bro!" collapse on the court the other night. I love your description by the way.

If it's the latter it will be a USU player without a doubt. If it's the former I don't yet have a pick. Armon Johnson is struggling more than expected, Magnum Rolle has really come on lately after looking to be a flop early, Justin Graham certainly isn't doing anything special and NMSU's two bigs, Rahmdan and Gabriel, have failed to impress.
