Some early Saturday night WAC scores

We'll get the beat reporters writeups tomorrow but for now:

Utah State demonstrated it is the WAC Daddy at this point in the season with a 79-65 win over Boise State in Logan. Here's the USU athletic writeup.

Louisiana Tech took care of Idaho 74-63 in Ruston. Kyle Gibson and Magnum Rolle led the way with 21 and 19 points respectively. Here's the Tech athletics writeup.

Nevada won by five over Fresno State 65-60. Here's the game writeup from Fresno (it's from the AP) and here's the game box score from Nevada athletics.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
