Nevada gets by LA TECH in Ruston

During his senior season, we watched Luke Babbitt play against California power Archbishop Mitty and offered that his shooting range had three categories: long, longer and longest. We suspect his game-winning shot today was from the latter.

RUSTON, La. — The shot had just left the fingertips of Luke Babbitt and Mark Fox was already headed over to the opposition’s bench to shake hands.

The Wolf Pack coach knew it was going in and the game was over.

Babbitt nailed a 28-foot 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded to give the Wolf Pack a 67-64 victory over Louisiana Tech before 1,658 fans at Thomas Assembly Center on Saturday afternoon...

We thought about using an alternative introduction, along the likes of "Mark Fox suddenly gets smarter" for the Nevada-ites who are finding this season frustrating.
