Talked briefly with Utah State signee/Yuba College frontcourter Shawn Harris' father a weekend ago as Yuba College was winning a tournament in Monterey. In fact, it seemed the Harris family had come down from northern California to watch the family pride play.
Sean looked like he'll help out the Aggies at power forward and possibly even play away from the basket some although the latter is not his current role. Depending on the USU roster makeup, it may be worthwhile to have him redshirt his first year in Logan so as to advance both his body and skills set as he's in his first season back from a two-year mission.
Yuba College is loaded with talent, 10-deep, so numbers won't be an accurate measuring stick for any player on Coach Doug Cornelius' squad. It's a hustling, unselfish group of talents who are used to winning so basketball programs landing anyone from YC will be bolstered.
