Thursday and your WAC basketball digest

New Mexico jumped out to a 46-25 half time lead over rival New Mexico State and kept the margin throughout the second half, winning 89-69. Jason Groves tweeted the contest.

Wendell McKines went for 25/14 but the Aggies shot just 33% overall, going 1-14 on trey attempts. Drew Gordon was also obviously inspired to the tune of 23 points and 19 rebounds as New Mexico shot 45% overall, 12-24 from long distance.

Nevada jumped out to an early lead but was ahead by just two -- 38 to 36 -- at the half against Cedarville. Chris Murray tweeted the matchup.

The Wolf Pack then slowly expanded the lead to win 71-61. Malik Story led with 19 points, nailing 5-8 from three-point range.
