Utah State righted its ship to the tune of a 63-54 homecourt victory as a nine-point first half point differential did the trick. Preston Medlin led with 13 points, Kyisean Reed contributed 11 and former redshirt-this-season Danny Berger reached double figures with 10. Brockeith Pane had another off shooting night, going 3-11.

Louisiana Tech is on a two-game in-state winning streak after stopping Northwestern State 94-93 in double overtime. The blossoming Cordarius Johnson, a sophomore, led the Bulldogs with 23 points and nine boards. Four other Techers scored in double figures. Coach Mike White's bunch tallied 23 assists on 33 baskets, including going 13-25 from three-point range.
