The WAC world of hoops, Christmas Day style

No games to report on this morning so PTW thought this might be appropriate -- what would each WAC head coach enjoy seeing under his tree today?

Coach Rodney Terry: anyone 6-foot-10 or taller, packing 240 pounds of muscle, with the skills to operate in the paint and the attitude to declare it his home

Coach Gib Arnold: Bill Amis with another season of eligibility, no, no, actually another dependable shooter

Coach Don Verlin: a proven scorer/shooter at the wing or two guard spot

Coach Mike White: an inside scorer

Coach David Carter: more renditions of "Kumbaya" from his Pack

Coach Marvin Menzies: an outside shooter of almost any size

Coach George Nessman: a big who can score and rebound inside

Coach Stew Morrill: Brockeith Pane, version January, February, March 2011

Actually, such presents won't be available until April 11 at the earliest but one can dream.

Hawaii does play Clemson today -- let's find out which game participants have been naughty and which have been nice.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
