Improvement personified

Two words: Deremy Geiger.

Last season for Idaho, it was primarily the Jeff Ledbetter Show in the Vandal backcourt. The senior wanted to take the tough shots and made a number of them, to the tune of 45% on 218 long distance attempts.

But Ledbetter graduated.

This season, Geiger has taken the reins of go-to guy.

After shooting 32% overall and 31% on 159 three-pointers in 2010-11, the senior has stepped it up.

He has moved his points per game average from 8.7 to 14.1 while upping is accuracy to 48% and 46% respectively.

In fact, as a team Coach Don Verlin's squad sits at 50% overall shooting while holding its collective opponents to 40%, 44% on treys to 34%.

It's a remarkable improvement from one season to the next and congratulations to Deremy Geiger for putting in the work necessary to accomplish what he has done.
