- 02/25/2009: Nevada paper rates WAC players: "Once again I must give credit where it is due – I pulled these articles off of Parsing the WAC,...an almost daily updated blog run by Kevin McCarthy. It is the authority on all things WAC men’s basketball. If there is a feature or game story put out about one of the schools in the league he will have a link to it (and a corresponding editorial comment). It is one of the first places I go on the Internet each day. We are very lucky to have a fan in this a midmajor league willing to put the time and energy in bring all this great information to all of us. Thanks Kevin."

- 11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."

Nevada has done it against a relatively weak schedule so far. The tests at Idaho and at Utah State to start the league off are going to be huge for Nevada.
I still think somehow Stew Morril gets his team to the ncaa tournament. Nevada may win the conference, but Utah State will win the wac tourney. Getting them back to the promised land.
As small as fresno is this year, they have no chance of winning four conference games this year. From what I have read. Next year they have that kansas kid coming in. Is he going to be enough of an inside game for them to even get one win in the mwc?
