What if the top five scorers were deemed to be the talents making the All-WAC First team?
Currently, that would be:
* Joel Wright 20.8 (Texas State)
* Kannon Burrage 17.4 (Texas San Antonio)
* Kyle Barone 17.1 (Idaho)
* Michael Hale III 15.7 (Texas San Antonio)
* Daniel Mullings, Banja Sy 15.5 (New Mexico State)
Interesting, because only the latter two reside on a top level team.
What will be fascinating is who, if anyone, gets a nod from Louisiana Tech? Kenyon McNeail is 13th in scoring at 11.3 points per game.
USU's Spencer Butterfield occupies the tenth spot at 12.7 (and 7.1 rebounds a contest) with Denver's Chris Udofia fourteenth with 11.1 but not in the Top 15 in board work. Sy is tied for third in rebounding at 8.0, with Mullings at 5.6 is 13th plus the best in steals at 2.8..
Barone is tops on the boards at 11.5 and the only one in double figures. Wright is eighth at 7.0.
Watch for Sim Bhullar (11.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.7 blocked shots) but surely three Aggies will not be selected.
