So it went down in the Marriott Center last night and no it wasn't two teams of traveling salespeople going mano-a-mano MMA. Rather, it was bitter rivals Utah State and BYU and the latter finished ahead by two, 70-68, in a contest that literally went down to the last second. USU was down 41-32 at the half. Spencer Butterfield finished with a 21/14 double-double plus five assists while Jarred Shaw totaled 14 and eight. Do make note that Jordan Stone played 25 minutes and finished with nine points, four blocked shots, three rebounds and two assists. 18 Aggie turnovers didn't aid the cause. Tyler Haws led the Cougars with 27 points. Coach Stew Morrill's guys shot better overall -- 45% to 35% -- but went 17-27 at the foul line to 28-33 for Coach Dave Rose's crew.
Kyle Goon and Kraig Williams live-tweeted the matchup.
