From the Fresno State Scout site message board comes word that senior Dwight O'Neil will play the point this season for Coach Steve Cleveland.
O'Neill is not really a point but it seems like a 'best-for-the-team' move. He's the backcourter with the most experience in Cleveland's system. Freshmen Bryce Cartwright, Brandon Sperling, et al aren't major minutes ready for the pressure and expectations that come with being a point in D-1 college basketball, especially anyone stepping into the departed Kevin Bell's role.
This move also allows Cleveland to put his best five players out on the court as a starting five.
