LAS CRUCES — At 6-foot-8, 230 pounds, Troy Gillenwater has all of the physical tools to be a productive basketball player at New Mexico State for a long time.

But it's his demeanor that could set him apart from other freshmen in the Western Athletic Conference.

"I'm just a laid back person and I guess it just reflects on the court," Gillenwater said...

For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
