RUSTON -- Grambling and Louisiana Tech must have used up all the drama they could muster when the teams met for their historic first meeting on Nov. 18. Saturday's rematch was a yawner.
With an 80-74 overtime victory over Grambling already under its belt, Louisiana Tech made it two-for-two, easily beating the visiting Tigers 77-47 at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Forward Olu Ashaolu led the way for the Bulldogs. After the first game against Grambling, he looked a the final statistics, saw his numbers -- a 1-for-7, two-point, fouled-out performance that included a missed dunk --- and said, "Do me a favor. Take this and burn it."
The 6-foot-7, 230-pound redshirt freshman made amends with Saturday's 13-point, six-rebound performance. Ashaolu was the spark plug in a 18-6 Tech run that put the game away late in the first half... Go here for the remainder.
