Your Friday game reports on Thursday's WAC games (got that?)

New Mexico State rode the right arm of Jahmar Young to a win in Hawaii as the junior nailed the last shot of the game in a 71-69 victory for the Aggies.

San Jose State played the role of rude host to Louisiana Tech in handing the Bulldogs an 87-76 loss. The San Jose State athletics site has this game report. Adrian Oliver led the way with 39 points and the SJSU four-guard offense still out-boarded Tech 31-2, with 55% SJSU overall shooting limiting Bulldog defensive rebounding opportunities.

Paul George's absence due to injury cast a psychological and scoring pall over Fresno State as the Bulldogs fell to visiting Utah State 69-43. Daniel Lyght has the game report. Matt James goes all George here. Shawn Harrison was also there (bravo to the Herald-Journal management) and wrote this game feature. 11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
