The Sunday stories on Saturday night's games

Nick Jezierny leads with his game report on New Mexico State's triumph over and at Boise State. The Broncos lost a hard-earned lead achieved with just under two minutes to go.

Louisiana Tech continued the plunder of the Gem State with a victory over host Idaho. Travis Mason-Bushman has the details, including a post-game video interview with Coach Don Verlin.

It appears the free-throw shooting gods and goddesses were not rooting for the Broncos and Vandals last night.

Daniel Lyght has the coverage of Fresno State's topping of Hawaii and also notes the departure of Brandon Webster. 15 first half turnovers did the Rainbows in as did the George effect: Paul George just missed a double-double with 21 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Nevada has no trouble with San Jose State, leading from the get-go and broadening the point differential throughout the match. Chris Murray was there and offers this story. He also has these game notes.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
