Denver challenged Stanford in the Bay Area but fell short 71-58. The Farm residents won the battle inside 36 points to 20 and in rebounding at 33-16. Royce O'Neale paced the Pioneers with 16 points but he made just three of 12 attempts. Stanford shot 53%, Denver 41%.

Seattle brought in Boise State but couldn't handle the Bronco firepower, losing 87-64. The Redhawks were outshot 53% to 40% and committed 21 TOs. Deshaun Sunderhaus posted 11 points and seven caroms, Clarence Trent finished with 12 points and nine boards but shot 4-12 and backcourter D'Vonne Picket Jr. went for 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
