Texas State went Big 10-ing versus Northwestern and made quite the impression -- leading by six with three and a half minutes remaining -- before falling 74-68 in Evanston, IL. Bobcats Joel Wright and Wesley Davis tag-teamed for 19 points apiece (Davis was 4-5 from long distance) and Matt Staff continued his perfection at the foul line going 4-4. However, Staff and Wright combined for 11 TOs.

The Redhawks shot 39% overall and just 15-25 from the free throw stripe but it was 28 turnovers (17 steals by Jackson State) that couldn't be overcome. 28 fouls didn't help either.
