It does happen. Denver has turned around some early-season woes and currently sits in second place, 3-0 at home alongside 3-1 on the road. Yet only Chase Hallam is a senior, with Royce O'Neale and Brett Olson but sophomores and Chris Udofia a junior. Adjusting to the absence of the graduated Brian Stafford seemingly took some adjustment time but now the Pioneer wagon is rolling, rolling, rolling.

On paper, Louisiana Tech doesn't look like a 15-3, 6-0 squad but play, not appearance, is all that matters. Some national pub should be coming Ruston-way -- hey bigtime guys, who wants to be the first?

When is the last time Utah State was in the third spot? There might be some crocodile tears currently being spilled but an Aggie top-of-the-WAC finish still remains a justifiable WAC expectation. However, a loss to Denver will certainly up the Xanax prescription rate in Logan.

Why is Texas Arlington 2-5 at home yet 6-2 in away contests? This obviously cuts way, way against the grain.
