ESPN's Jeremy Lundblad notes a WAC performance from Thursday night Numbers To Know:

Bench Player of the Night – Joel Wright, Texas State
Given that he played 34 minutes, Wright is a bench player in name only. But that shouldn’t take away from this 37-point explosion in Texas State's road win over Idaho. He also pitched in six rebounds, five assists and five steals. He’s just the third player to post those numbers in a game over the past 10 seasons, and the only in at least the past 15 seasons to do it off the bench.

11/01/08: LOUISIANA TECH UPDATE: "Kevin McCarthy over at Parsing the WAC, an excellent source of WAC basketball news, was contacted by somebody familiar with the recent departure of four Louisiana Tech basketball players (which we touched on last week). For those who don't know, Drew Washington, Dwayne Lathan, Orrim Tims and Brandon Mims were dismissed after meeting with coach Kerry Rupp two weeks ago. Lathan said he was blindsided by the decision. McCarthy’s source, who remained anonymous, said there was more to the story than met the eye."
