One quote struck us as curious in a game report on Arizona's victory over Louisiana Tech -- this one:"...(The Wildcats) really wore us down with their physical play," Louisiana Tech coach Kerry Rupp said..."
We didn't see the game but it doesn't seem that the Wildcats have a bunch of bruisers, at least not in the traditional sense of a center and/or power forward checking in at 240 or so.
Kerry Rupp used just seven players so a natural wearing down would be understandable, especially if Arizona was zooming up and down the court. Kyle Gibson played all 40 minutes, DeAbdre Brown 37, Magnum Rolle 35 and Jamel Guyton 31.
Was Sean Miller's squad more physical than that experienced in the WAC?

We completely forgot that LT's David Jackson is from Arizona so he was playing in his home state last night when the Bulldogs battled Arizona. Sarah Trotto/Arizona Daily Star provides a feature on Jackson.

Per Tony Jones/Aggieville, Nate Bendall is having further tests on his heart -- it doesn't sound all that serious and we wish him the best.

Jason Groves/Las Cruces Sun-News offers a feature on the 'newest' Aggie, B.J. West.

AZ went on a run less than 3 minutes into the second half and were never threatened by LTU after that. I don't think LTU was ever within double digits in the last 15 and a half minutes. That's from StatSheet's game flow here:

So while I agree they got worn down, it was because they couldn't rest their starters without risking the lead getting even worse. Not because AZ are big bangers.
I've seen the same thing with Nevada too often this year to not recognize it.
