Nevada had an easy time, beating Fresno Pacific 89-67. The Wolf Pack shot 54% led by Armon Johnson's 19 points and Luke Babbitt's 16. Freshman Patrick Nyeko saw his first action with 17 minutes of playing time.

Fresno State took the measure of host Pepperdine 80-72. Paul George exploded for 29 points and Steven Shepp was next with 17, including five treys in eight attempts. The Bulldogs won the board battle 35-28.

San Jose State was up by nine at the half but ended up losing to USF 76-71. Adrian Oliver led the Spartans with 17 even while ill but 38.5% shooting for the game and a porous second half defense did SJSU in --- the Dons shot 67% in the second 20 minutes.
