Is Olek Czyz coming home?

Chris Murray/Reno Gazette Journal is reporting that Olek Czyz is departing Duke for another basketball destination.

His sister either is or was a student at Nevada and it seems the Wolf Pack is in the running, if not the favorite as Czyz played his prep ball at Reno High.

Last season, Czyz played in 13 games, averaging 0.6 points and 0.9 rebounds per game. This go around, he played in six games for the Dookies, starting two and played 61 minutes. He shot 7-12 overall, 1-4 from three-point range.

A polish kid who went to duke McDonalds all-american, and never played more than about 8 mpg...and all these insipid duke basketball fans and all this overthinking of the damn game. they seriously acted like you were special ed or something there, its ridiculous, you are a very bright guy, came over hear and picked up english in a year or two and navigated reno high like it was nothing...just go somewhere where they let you play, show off your athleticism and feel and flow the game rather than be a channel for the intellectual basketball genuis that is ratface coach k that huckster con man liberal elite basketball coach of choice and distinction for the am ex set. its probably been tough but someday you'll realize how many extremely tough lessons you have learned and you stop trusting glossy establishment people, look out for yourself, and negotiate better terms in your next deal. Peace brotha.

Come on, get serious. Olek is a great kid and is beloved by the Duke students. He is a tremendous athlete, a bit unpolished in his basketball skills and with all the depth Duke has in the front court, it was obvious to all (including Olek) that minutes were going to be hard to come by. I do not believe there are hard feelings on either side and Duke fans on the scout.com boards wish Olek all the best. As for coach K being a liberal elitist, do some fact checking. He is a very conservative Catholic. Yes, he has a foul mouth on the court, but he has integrity and his players have been sucessful in life in and after basketball. You can hate Duke all you want for whatever reasons, but coach K is not coach Calipari. He runs a clean program, his players get and education and graduate. Anyway, best of luck Olek; Duke fans will be pulling for you.
