Ed Gordon — he went by Eddy then — was a 6-foot-6, 238-pound forward on San Diego State basketball teams of the early 1980s with Tony Gwynn and Michael Cage. Now a middle-school math teacher in San Jose, Gordon says he “would be thrilled” if his 19-year-old son followed in his footsteps at Montezuma Mesa.

Drew Gordon, a 6-9 post player who was rated among the top prep prospects in the nation out of San Jose’s Archbishop Mitty High and who recently announced his intention to transfer from UCLA...
According to the article, Nevada has made inquiries (duh!) but that one just doesn't seem to fit nor can we see him in Spokane (Gonzaga). We keep hearing UNLV but maybe it will be San Diego State as featured above.
However, we will be confused if Gordon does become an Aztec. That's because the Chancellor of the California State University system has decreed that the schools under his dominion cannot accept any mid-year transfers due to the state budget crisis.
This will be fascinating.

Just so you know the Chancellors decree does not effect athletes. My wife is admissions for a Cal State school.
