Idaho basketball gets more coverage

We have been remiss. Yes, even more than the usual.

There's a new blog for Idaho Vandal basketball which is great news. We try and cover the basketball action up in Moscow but a numbers of the newspapers in the area require a subscription to access their material so that has limited us.

Get Vandal Nation bookmarked. Yes, that's an order.

Travis Mason-Bushman has take it upon himself to provide the coverage Don Verlin's rejuvenated program justly deserves (and also the women's basketball team). Here is his welcome:

"Welcome to Vandal Nation, The Argonaut’s new sports blog.

We’ll bring you the latest news, incisive commentary, insightful features and up-to-the-minute results for all of the University of Idaho’s Vandal sports teams. Vandal Nation will also feature liveblogs from courtside at every Vandal men’s and women’s home basketball game.

We invite your questions, comments and suggestions for what you’d like to see on Vandal Nation."

He already has an article posted about Idaho's BrackBuster opponent Cal State Northridge.

Thanks for the kind words, Kevin. There's no shortage of Idaho Vandals fans out there, but as you noted, a definite shortage of coverage. The Argonaut's print reporting has been solid, but twice a week just isn't enough in this day and age. That's where Vandal Nation comes in.

I've been reading a lot of WAC blogs lately, and it's clear that there's both passion and quality in this community. It's a pleasure to join the WAC blogosphere.
