LAS CRUCES — Upon his return from the recruiting trail, New Mexico State University men's basketball coach Marvin Menzies fielded questions on Tuesday regarding the status of two of his players.

Prior to Tuesday's practice, Menzies said he hasn't made any decisions regarding redshirt forward Troy Gillenwater and freshman point guard Terrance Joyner.

Both players missed Saturday's 62-60 victory at Nevada — Gillenwater while serving an announced one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team following Thursday's 78-59 loss at Utah State and Joyner after he was suspended indefinitely after his misdemeanor arrest for marijuana possession at the El Paso International Airport on Wednesday.

Joyner was suspended prior to the Utah State game.

"There are some big picture things here that have to get crystallized in these young men's minds and if we can do that, things will move forward and if not, we will move in another direction," Menzies said...
