We always type this but it cannot be reinforced enough: providing the questions to and answers from Mark Fox at a booster luncheon is an arduous undertaking so we again salute Chris Murray for his dutiful undertaking and also his endurance. Offerings like this are a tremendous asset to Nevada and WAC basketball.
Coach Fox hits on variety of topics during Time-Out Luncheon

I, for one, am happy that the Time-Out Luncheons are over. While they do make for some good quotes and notes material, these things take quite a while to transcribe using my four-finger typing method. Here is what Nevada basketball coach Mark Fox had to say at his fourth and final luncheon on Monday, which started with some opening comments on each of the games since his last luncheon followed by questions from booster. Congratulations if you read all the way to the bottom of this thing.
On the New Mexico State game: “I think the last time I was here (at the luncheon) we had just lost to Idaho at home and we had a few people in panic mode. Luckily, one of them wasn’t me. We responded well from that loss. We went on the road to New Mexico State and won an overtime game in which we trailed. I think we really grew up from the experience against Idaho the first time.”
On the Louisiana Tech game: “We turned around from that game and went to Louisiana Tech and played an afternoon game, which is tough to do. Saturday afternoon games, which as a coach you enjoy because you don’t have to sit around waiting for the game to come, but as a road team in this league and traveling the distances you have to travel and playing Thursday and Saturday as opposed to Wednesday and Saturday, Saturday afternoon games are very tough. So, the win at Louisiana Tech, we were very pleased with because it was a quick turnaround from New Mexico State.”
On the Boise State game: “We came home for a three-game homestand, which I thought was really important for our team. Coming off two road wins, I thought it was important to defend home court. The game against Boise, we started the game very well defensively against Boise and had a lot of energy in the building. We got the homestand off to a good start. It was a good win to beat Boise at home...” Go here for the remainder.
