Taft High's (Los Angeles) Michael Williams has supposedly lacked strong recruiting interest because he is a 6-0 shooting guard, meaning he doesn't 'fit' into the pre-conceived notion that all 2's should be at least 6-3 or taller. But he has broken through that 'mold' with some sterling performance in the state playoffs and now is awash with recruiting pitches -- New Mexico State among them -- with apparently more to come.

After his three game run scoring 82 points against the likes of Fairfax, Westchester and Ventura, Taft's Michael Williams is garnering much more interest now than ever before.
