Chris Murray's top WAC pick

We can already 'hear' the posting in Logan and Las Cruces that Chris Murray is being a 'homer' but he certainly has plenty of company -- try seven coaches in the WAC and a hefty portion of the beat reporters -- so no whining allowed.

Returning starters: Two (PG Armon Johnson, SG Brandon Fields)

Player to watch: Luke Babbitt, fr.: Babbitt has aptly been described as a “matchup nightmare” by those familiar with his game. The 6-9, 225-pound combo forward can post up and punish smaller defenders and rain 3-pointers over larger defenders who don’t float with him behind the arc. The lefty has an excellent feel for the game and high basketball IQ and will bring immediate scoring to the Pack after averaging 29.9 ppg for Galena High last season. He will also need to be among the team’s leading rebounders and defend the paint on an undersized Pack team...
