No, we are not related to the Reno Gazette-Journal's Chris Murray, we were not fraternity brothers nor are we financially indebted to him but we again salute him. Yes, it's a small thing in the context of financial market meltdowns and life savings dwindling but Murray posted HIS WAC selections on his blog today. It would be great if every WAC beat reporter did the same. We can understand why the coaches wouldn't want to so but Murray's act is absolutely congruent with the media's role of rightfully seeking transparency on any issue or subject being covered.
Here's Murray's ballot if we may be so bold as to print it in its entirety:
1. Nevada
2. Utah State
3. New Mexico State
4. San Jose State
5. Louisiana Tech
6. Boise State
7. Fresno State
8. Hawaii
9. Idaho
Player of the Year: Luke Babbitt, Nevada
All-WAC first team: Luke Babbitt, Nevada; Armon Johnson, Nevada; Gary Wilkinson, Utah State; Kyle Gibson, La. Tech; Roderick Flemings, Hawaii. But Murray also wants your picks and selections so go here and post them.
